THE SOFTEE® STORY
In 1985, as a busy wife, mother of three, and an active member in her community, Linda Jackson felt like the most unlikely candidate to be diagnosed with breast cancer. At the age of 36, however she underwent a modified radical mastectomy of the right breast. Unfortunately, four years later she had a re-occurrence which required a second mastectomy.
She discovered that there was nothing available to be worn immediately following surgery to help her feel comfortable, protected, and restore the shape she had lost. As the saying goes, "necessity is the mother of invention." In her case this certainly proved to be true.
When Linda originally designed the SOFTEE® it was for her own use, but she quickly realized it could make a positive difference for all women recovering from breast surgery. This was the beginning of Ladies First, Inc.
OUR HISTORY
Since 1990, Ladies First came a long way in creating a market where none had been before. They introduced the first specialized product for women to use immediately following breast surgery. They worked diligently to acquire Medicare coverage, and in many cases, private insurance coverage for our signature SOFTEE®.

Linda retired from the company in 2013 leaving its legacy to Zenana-Renee Rose. She had 20 years’ experience educating and caring for women in all stages of life from pregnancy to post-mastectomy.
Under her leadership, Zenana continued to grow the distribution to boutiques, doctors’ offices and hospitals nationwide.
In July 2016, the SOFTEE® product lines transferred ownership to Royal Arms Medical.
